The very first day of using 17-55 2.8 - very expensive glass at cost me 2k
but the result worth buying :)

Yes, a zoom-able lens with low aperture is definately expensive. Actually, I buy my lenses in HK. Its like 70% cheaper. Got my prime lens 35mm, f1.4 at only $800sgd. In Singapore, alpha lens like tat cost $2999.
